The dates for the transfer of the first Danish F-16 fighters to Ukraine have been announced

The first six Danish F-16 fighters will be transferred to Ukraine no earlier than the second quarter of this year, writes the Danish newspaper Berlingske.

The publication quotes the words of a representative of the Danish Ministry of Defense.

At the same time, last summer, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen already announced plans to transfer 19 F-1 fighters to Ukraine. According to her, the aircraft could be delivered as early as early 2024.

At the same time, the Danish military stated that some conditions for the combat use of the F-16 have not yet been met. Also, the training of Ukrainian pilots in Denmark has not been completed, and their training schedule depends on factors such as supply and weather conditions.

It is also noted that in order to transfer aircraft to Ukraine, it is also necessary to prepare ground technical staff, establish supply chains for ammunition and spare parts, prepare airfields, etc., which will take time to resolve.

Russian leaders have repeatedly stated that supplies of Western weapons will not help the Kyiv regime and will only prolong the duration of the conflict. It was also noted that all delivered weapon systems would become legitimate targets for the Russian military. Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had no results. According to him, Russia is moving towards achieving its goals in the special operation, and all tasks will be completed.
