The authorities of the capital of Primorye have radically changed their position and are now opposing the concerts of Diana Arbenina and Kristina Orbakaite planned in the city. It was previously stated that there were no grounds for canceling the singers’ performances.

“The head of the city of Vladivostok initiated and sent a letter to the organizers of the concerts of artists Kristina Orbakaite and Diana Arbenina, which recommends canceling these concerts in Vladivostok. The basis for this decision was the official appeal of the all-Russian public movement “Cultural Front of Russia” with a demand to cancel the performances of these artists in the city of military glory Vladivostok. The final decision to cancel a performance must be made by the concert organizer, taking into account all the circumstances and public opinion,”— reported today the municipal control center (MCC) of Vladivostok in the Telegram channel of Mayor Konstantin Shestakov in the comments to one of the official’s messages.

Previously, the Vladivostok authorities occupied a different position. On February 5, the MCU reported that there was no reason to cancel Kristina Orbakaite’s concert planned in the capital of Primorye on March 19. “Singer Kristina Orbakaite is not officially a foreign agent; her creative repertoire complies with the law. Within the framework of its competence, the Vladivostok city administration approves only public events on the territory of the city of Vladivostok. That is, events with open spectator access. Tickets are sold for events held in private institutions and organizations. The viewer makes his own choice whether to go to the concert or not, using his constitutional right,” the MCU informed.

Kristina Orbakaite’s concert was planned in one of the largest concert halls in Vladivostok, Fesco Hall, on March 19. Diana Arbenina’s concert was scheduled for January 24.

The concert of Diana Arbenina was agreed upon with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the International Center of Culture reported on January 24. “To the administration [Владивостока] two official requests were received via the Internet reception regarding the cancellation of the concert of Diana Arbenina and the Night Snipers group. The concert organizers were given recommendations to coordinate the performance of the announced artist with the Russian Ministry of Justice (register of foreign agents) and make a decision on cancellation if necessary. The concert organizers implemented the recommendations in agreement with the Russian Ministry of Justice. The concert of Diana Arbenina and the group “Night Snipers” is held in accordance with current legislation, there are no plans to cancel it,” the MCU quoted the message as saying. TASS.

The concert of Diana Arbenina and the group “Night Snipers” in Vladivostok is scheduled for February 27 at the Fetisov Arena sports complex.
