The mayor of Omsk, Sergei Shelest, suspected LGBT propaganda in multi-colored pigeons, which the organizer of the festival “Street Interiors” Yulia Kovalevskaya offered to place on the city’s embankment. Mr. Shelest said that he did not want to be a mayor who promotes LGBT people. The mayor also noted that in Omsk such an art object would most likely be destroyed. As a result, he sent the pigeons for revision.

These doves, if they are in such a color scheme, I give you 100% that they will be destroyed in the near future. I do not want to be a mayor who promotes LGBT people, ”the mayor said in an interview with the publication. NGS.55.
AT Telegram channel Oleg Shelest said that the pigeons were sent for revision: “the author was asked to work with colors and textures, to think again about the site where the composition would look appropriate,” he wrote.
On December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a complete ban on LGBT propaganda in Russia. For individuals for LGBT propaganda, a fine of up to 400 thousand rubles is provided, for legal entities – up to 5 million rubles.
