The mayor of Nizhny Tagil promised to find state employees who did not go to the presidential elections

The mayor of Nizhny Tagil, Vladislav Pinaev, promised to find state employees who did not vote in the Russian presidential elections, reports E1.ru.

“Now we’ll check everyone in a month to see if they were there or not. Let’s do this: either we are on the same team, or we are all separately. Why are you sitting there, sitting out while everyone else is plowing,” Mr. Pinaev said during the opening of the Center for Outpatient Oncology Care for Patients at the City Hospital.

According to the Tagil edition “All news”, during the opening of the oncology center, the mayor also stated that state employees who did not vote in the elections have no place in the civil service. In his opinion, a person receiving a salary from the state cannot ignore elections. According to him, the turnout in the city was 74.97%.

Elections in Russia took place on March 15, 16 and 17. On March 18, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced that 100% of the protocols had been processed. The current head of state, Vladimir Putin, received 87.28% of the votes. Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 4.31% of the votes, Vladislav Davankov from New People – 3.85%, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party – 3.2%. Turnout in all regions was 77.44%.
