He did not admit his guilt
A Ukrainian citizen who burned his partner alive last year was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
The tragedy occurred on December 15, 2022 in a residential building on Palekhskaya Street. A 52-year-old guest of the capital, after drinking alcohol, quarreled with a colleague with whom he was renovating an apartment.
As MK learned, the man smashed his head with a carpenter’s mallet, and then doused him while he was still alive with solvent and set him on fire. The unfortunate man was burned alive. The villain was detained, but never admitted his guilt. The master tried to convince the court that he fell asleep, and when he woke up, his partner was already on fire. The unfortunate man, in his words, rushed around the apartment, hit his head against the walls, and then began jumping on bags of garbage and tools. Themis’ servants did not believe this version and imposed a severe punishment.
As the press service of the Moscow prosecutor’s office told MK, the Moscow City Court sentenced the man to 17 years in prison to be served in a maximum security colony.
