The market share of Russian civilian drones will triple in six years

The share of domestic drones in the Russian market should grow from 24% in 2023 to 70% by 2030, and in public procurement the same indicator should increase from 23 to 80%. On April 21, 2023, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak spoke about such plans for the development of the industry at a strategic session on the development of unmanned aircraft in Russia with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov. These indicators are spelled out in the federal project “Stimulating demand for domestic unmanned aerial systems (UAS)”, follows from the official’s speech.
Shpak’s presentation indicated that now the share of domestically produced drones is at the level of 24%, by 2025 it should grow to 55%, and in 2030 to 70%. In public procurement, the share of domestic UAS is currently 23%, follows from the data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and by 2025 the figure should increase to 41%, by 2030 – up to 80%.
