The market for systems for working with data consists of 70% foreign solutions

Almost two-thirds – 70% – of the Russian market for solutions for data collection, analytics and visualization (BI systems) today are represented by foreign vendors. These statistics are presented in a study by the development company Nota (part of the T1 group), which Vedomosti reviewed. The remaining 30% are Russian-made products, but only half of them are included in the register of domestic software of the Ministry of Digital Development and can be used by the public sector and companies with state participation, the study says.

We are talking about systems that transform information from various sources into convenient and understandable analytics with data visualization. “For example, a BI system can be connected to a database on the activities of retail outlets and the report can be customized in a convenient way. The closest analogue is pivot tables in Excel, only with graphs,” explains Sergei Ivashchenko, head of product marketing at UMNO digital. Such solutions are used by marketing and financial departments of companies, as well as top management.
