The lover of “Britain’s most violent criminal” visited him in prison for the first time in half a century

According to the Daily Mirror, Charles Bronson, a notorious criminal in the UK, received a meeting with his ex-wife, 71-year-old Irene Danro, for the first time in 50 years of imprisonment.

Bronson, dubbed “Britain’s most violent criminal” by the media, and Danro met as teenagers, married in 1971 and divorced in 1976 after his husband was jailed. They continued to communicate, but did not meet in person all this time.

Now Danro claims that Bronson intends to restore their relationship and even proposed remarriage to her. According to her, Bronson considers her his one true love and is thinking about buying her a ring for Christmas.

However, getting Bronson out of prison is more important to Danro, and she is not focused on the romantic side of the relationship right now.

Charles Arthur Salvador, better known as Charles Bonson and born Michael Gordon Peterson in 1952, was first jailed in 1974 for robbing a post office. He gained notoriety for his unruly behavior in prisons and attacks on staff. He took hostages in cells 10 times. His actions injured 20 prison guards, which led to him being named the most violent prisoner in Britain.
