The loud story that happened in Noginsk near Moscow became an edification to those who believe and wait, and a warning to those who do not wait, but burn to the fullest. The fiancee of a guy who went to the Northern Military District, preparing for the wedding and gaining access to his bank card, bought herself a car and celebrated her birthday in a big way: she ordered a cottage for her friends, and a stripper for herself.
Alexey (all names have been changed – ed.) began dating Anna in 2022. They had known each other since school; he considered her a “normal girl.” Then he began to help with repairs and other issues, and the couple began to communicate more closely. The conversation also turned to wedding.
In October 2022, the man was mobilized. Then the lovers decided to save money for the wedding so that they could get married during the military leave.
— We often called each other, she said that she was waiting for me. Now I know that this is not so,” sighs the soldier of the assault brigade.
Of the man’s blood relatives, only his younger sister and her children remained. Before leaving, the military man asked his bride to help his relatives and send 20 thousand from his military salary. However, after some time, she completely stopped transferring money to her sister. But she posted photos of her new car on social networks.
Alexei’s sister immediately suspected something was wrong, since her future sister-in-law did not work anywhere and, as she found out, had a very dubious reputation: her first husband filed for divorce when she cheated on him.
The sister was determined to save her brother from such a potential relative. She came up with a trick and asked for a loan of 400 thousand, supposedly for a car. The military man decided to help because he knew that these funds should have been on the card. He called his girlfriend.
– And she answered: “There is no money!” I ask: “Where are they?” “I spent it.” And she hung up. And that is all. She no longer answered my calls or messages,” the military man said.
During his vacation, Alexey met his “bride” only in the investigator’s office. She explained that she spent 400 thousand on the car. At the same time, she behaved boldly and brazenly, not at all regretting what happened.
— Alexei’s sister turned to me for help: despite the fact that, at the request of her brother, she took the card from the girl, she still had access to finances, she immediately transferred the military salary after receiving it to her Qiwi wallet and her child’s card, – said the head of the Moscow Region Bar Association “Themis” Anton Lukin.
Later it turned out on what scale Anna celebrated her 30th birthday in a rented cottage. For the holiday, she ordered the service of a stripper.
Now investigators are finding out how much money the woman spent on her needs behind her fiance’s back. According to Alexey’s assumptions, the amount could reach 800 thousand rubles. According to lawyers, the SVO fighter will be able to return the money. But trust in a person is unlikely.
The State Duma has already proposed introducing special punishment for those who commit illegal, fraudulent transactions with payments of “front-line” payments using the cards of SVO participants. According to deputy of the lower house of parliament Vitaly Milonov, such treachery should lead to serious consequences.
“If funds are stolen from participants in a special military operation, then, of course, this is not just a criminal offense. The fighter receives this money as a result of serving the Motherland, risking his life. Of course, all these scammers should not get off with suspended sentences,” Milonov said.
But what should we do specifically for the military, who themselves have entrusted their funds to loved ones or acquaintances, and who, as a result, spend “front-line” money, to put it mildly, thoughtlessly and irresponsibly, and resort to forgery and deception? How many such cases are already multiplying on social networks and cases being considered in the courts!
It would be correct to link such bank cards to the service of setting a spending limit, when for more expensive purchases “dear and loved ones” will have to obtain the consent of the card holder himself.
