The leader of the Mirage group underwent emergency surgery after visiting a secret facility

“Broken bones come apart”

A few days ago, MK wrote that the permanent guitarist of the Mirage group, Alexey Gorbashov, broke his leg during a sound check in a Moscow club. “My leg twisted on some structures, something crunched in it, and stars flew out of my eyes,” the musician recalled the incident. After this, the doctors prescribed Gorbashov to wear an orthosis and, of course, take care of his leg. No concerts, but instead – pills and bed rest. However, despite the doctors’ prohibitions, the musician continued touring and paid for it. Gorbashov again ended up in the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. The victim shared the details with Moskovsky Komsomolets.

“Unfortunately, the concerts did not do any good: my leg had to be operated on and the bones fastened with titanium inserts. But the envious people won’t wait: as soon as I get out of my hospital bed, I’ll immediately go on tour. The operation took place immediately after returning from a concert in the secret city of Sarov, Gorbashov said.

– How much did the operation cost you? Are titanium inserts expensive these days?

– The operation itself cost 133 thousand, taking into account my personal discount and including the cost of the titanium insert. Visits to doctors, x-rays twice, preoperative examination, including tests, ECG and fluorogram also probably cost another twenty-five thousand. I think that it is not that expensive, considering the complexity of the operation, the qualifications of the surgeon, the level of service, and the condition of the clinic itself and the wards.

– Why did you have to operate at all?

“Apparently, I didn’t follow the rest regime responsibly enough and put stress on my leg, as a result of which the broken parts of the bone separated and my leg became swollen. Based on the results of a repeat X-ray, the doctor said that surgery was impossible.

– How is your day going now?

– Thank God, we have Olga, a driver, without whose help everything would have been much more difficult. She transports me to and from the clinic, helps with shopping and other errands. I move, naturally, on crutches. There is absolutely no time to lie down, I do studio work, sitting in a comfortable anatomical chair, on which you can lean back if you wish.

– How long will the recovery process take?

– No one can give guarantees, but if the process goes without complications, then 10 days after the operation you will need to remove the stitches, wear an orthosis and use crutches to walk. I was told that this is a minimum of 3 weeks, then depending on the condition. But I think I will have to work on stage on a bar stool for a total of two months. As long as all the upcoming concerts are in force, I am able to move around, although I will have to travel through airport terminals in a buggy or in a wheelchair. Many airports have such distances that you can’t get there on crutches.
