The leader of the thrash metal group “Corrosion of Metal” Sergei Troitsky said that he and the band’s director Maria Runova were detained by police officers. According to Mr. Troitsky, they were detained for drinking vodka at the premiere of the film “Brother-3” at the Oktyabr cinema. In a conversation with TASS, the leader of the group called what happened in the cinema “a performance with 10 bottles of vodka.”

Shortly before Sergei Troitsky’s publication on VKontakte, TASS wrote about his arrest with reference to law enforcement agencies. The agency’s interlocutor confirmed the musician’s detention and refrained from making other comments. The artist himself, in a conversation with TASS, stated that before the police arrived, the guards “forcefully held” him in the dressing room. Sergei Troitsky called what happened in the cinema “a performance with 10 bottles of vodka.” “During the action, so to speak, the cinema security staff took us away from the stage, called the police and are now forcibly holding us in the dressing room. Despite the fact that vodka and beer are freely sold in the cinema bar, we are charged with drinking alcoholic beverages in a public place,” the agency quotes Sergei Troitsky as saying.
