After undergoing retraining, the military registration specialty (VUS) of a mobilized person may change. About it “Lente.ru” Oleg Zherdev, military lawyer, lawyer and founder of the Russian association of law enforcement agencies Guards, said.
The expert said that the mobilized are retrained in the form of mobilization fees. In this case, the personnel bodies responsible for the VAS have the right to change them, however, for this there is a norm for the time spent on retraining – at least 500 hours.
The lawyer also emphasized that the VUS can also be changed due to vital reasons.
“For example, a person previously served as a shooter on conscription, and later he worked as a driver for ten years. In this case, nothing prevents, based on his work book, from changing the military specialty, ”said Zherdev.
In addition, the lawyer said that changing the VUS before the departure of the mobilized for the fees is illegal. However, if a person’s specialty was changed and he left for a training camp, then in this case, contacting the relevant authorities will not make sense, since during this time he will have time to complete part of the training course.
