“Forecasts about the guilt of the journalist are too early to give”
Earlier, the media reported that the YouTube channel of TV presenter and blogger Ksenia Sobchak is being checked by the police for propaganda of non-traditional relationships among teenagers. Sobchak herself believes that the reason for the check is her interview with tennis player Daria Kasatkina, although at the beginning of the video there is a warning that it is intended for viewing by persons over 18 years old. Lawyer, candidate of legal sciences Gennady Nefedovsky believes that the blogger may face a fine or suspension of activities.
In an interview with Lenta.ru Nefedovsky said that Sobchak could face an administrative fine in the amount of 50 thousand to one million rubles, or an administrative suspension of activities for up to 90 days, but this is only if the direct fault of the Caution: Sobchak media is proven.
The lawyer believes that it is too early to make predictions about the guilt of the TV presenter, since there are no results of the relevant examination yet. Nevertheless, the lawyer emphasized that the disclaimer that the video is intended for viewing by persons aged 18 and over does not exempt from liability in Russian law.
Nefedovsky clarified that such a warning has no legal force, and the video itself is broadcast on an international Internet platform, where anyone can watch what he wants.
