On September 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part via videoconference in the opening ceremony for the movement of cars along the last section of the North-Eastern Expressway (SVKh) – between Dmitrovskoye Highway and Selskokhozyaistvennaya Street. Now it is possible to drive without traffic lights from the MKAD interchange from M-11 to the Kosinskaya interchange on the MKAD, through which in the future it will be possible to go to the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway.

The latter two have recently been merged into a single project called the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD). Its construction is planned to be completed in 2023.
