The head of the Czech-Moravian Trade Union Confederation, Josef Stršedul, said that the strike that will take place today in the Czech Republic will be the largest in the history of the country.
According to him, hundreds of enterprises and various firms, with approximately 1 million workers, will take part in the strike. Among other things, it will cover the staff of 70% of school institutions.
“This strike will be the largest protest in the history of the Czech Republic. The goal of the strike is to force the country’s government to think about what is currently happening in society,” said Strshedul.
He clarified that local residents are outraged by the state of affairs; they believe that the government does not hear them.
