The water level in the Tobol River near the village of Ketovo and some settlements of the Ketovo district has reached 10 m, said the governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov. He warned that the water mass was moving in the direction of Kurgan. The distance between Ketovo and Kurgan is less than 20 km.

In his TelegramOn the channel, the governor published a photograph of the Tobol spill in the area of the railway bridge in Kurgan. Mr. Shumkov noted that yesterday morning, April 15, it was dry in this area. “Don’t tempt fate, don’t hope for chance. Take your children, elderly and disabled relatives, documents and belongings and leave the flooded areas,” he added.

In the Kurgan region, a state of emergency has been in force since April 8 due to flooding. Tobol continues to spill due to water discharges from reservoirs in the Chelyabinsk region and Kazakhstan.
