Russian President Vladimir Putin’s interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson will be published on the Kremlin website in two languages on the morning of February 9, the head of state’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said. The interview will be released on the host’s website at 2:00 Moscow time.
“It will be on Friday morning, we will confirm the exact time. It will be published on the president’s website, as usually happens with any interview with the president of the Russian Federation. Both the video and the full transcript in Russian and English will also be published,” said Dmitry Peskov. He noted that first of all the interview will be published on Tucker Carlson’s website, and then on the Kremlin’s website.
Tucker Carlson arrived in Russia late last week. The day before, on February 7, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the interview had already been recorded.
The last time Vladimir Putin gave an interview to a foreign journalist was in October 2021 after speaking at Russian Energy Week. The interview was conducted by Hadley Gamble, a journalist from the American television channel CNBC.
