The Kremlin does not announce personnel processes – Kommersant

The Kremlin does not announce personnel processes related to appointments or resignations, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. This is how he commented on Kommersant’s information that there are no plans to change the governors who are facing elections this year.

“We never announce personnel processes for appointment or resignation. And we won’t do it now. The President is actively involved in regional issues. The entire gubernatorial corps is actively working. There is a lot of work,” said a Kremlin representative during a press call.

Yesterday, April 15, Vladimir Putin met with two governors – Igor Babushkin (Astrakhan region) and Andrei Bocharov (Volgograd region), and both received the go-ahead for nomination from the president. Kommersant’s sources said that, most likely, the same will happen with all other heads of regions whose terms of office expire this year. The issue will be resolved separately regarding the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, but Kommersant’s interlocutors are inclined to believe that he will retain his post.

Details – in the material “Kommersant” “No changes until the inauguration”.
