Peskov: Russia has not received official proposals for an “Olympic” truce in Ukraine
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia had not received any official proposals for a truce in Ukraine during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Peskov said Kyiv uses such initiatives “to try to regroup, rearm, and so on,” which complicates the process of considering proposals of this kind.
The idea of declaring a truce in the Northern Military District zone for the duration of the Olympic Games was voiced by French President Emmanuel Macron.
