Peskov: Moscow does not accept Turkey’s accusations against Russia of meddling in elections
The press secretary of the Russian head of state, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the recently voiced accusations by the Turkish side that Russia allegedly “interferes” in the presidential elections in Turkey.
“Russia categorically rejects the Turkish opposition’s accusations of meddling in the country’s presidential elections,” a Kremlin spokesman said.
Words about Moscow’s alleged “interference” in the Turkish elections came from the presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Peskov stressed that the leader of the opposition party “will not be able to provide evidence, because there is none.”
The Kremlin speaker also added that the Russian side would respect the choice of the people of Turkey with great respect.
