At the government level, the discussion of the initiative on a one-time tax contribution by representatives of large businesses continues, and the nuances are now being worked out. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“Contacts with business representatives continue at the government level, there is a conversation going on, all the nuances are being worked out. You have to wait a bit here,” he said.
Peskov added that this practice is common in other countries, and noted that it was used in different periods of history.
The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the key word in the contribution initiative is “voluntary.” At the same time, he added, the interaction between the country’s leadership and business is “a two-way road.” It is necessary to understand the current realities and needs of the country, Peskov noted.

Earlier today, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov notedthat the Ministry of Finance expects to receive from the business a total of about 300 billion rubles. According to him, the collection of a tax on profit growth in 2021 and 2022 is now being considered. compared to 2019 and 2020 Siluanov specified that the initiative would not affect the oil and gas sector and small businesses.
