The Russian side presented a draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the investigation of sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, spoke about this in an interview with the American radio station WBAI.
“A few hours ago, we really presented a draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the establishment of an international commission to investigate sabotage in the Nord Streams,” the diplomat confirmed.
He also stressed that Russia would seek a vote on the resolution next week.
Earlier, Dmitry Polyansky said in his Telegram channel that in the light of new information on the undermining of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, Russia requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on February 22 at 15.00 New York time (23.00 Moscow time).
