The North Caucasus Federal District Mixed Martial Arts Championship took place in Essentuki. Young athletes from all North Caucasian regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition.
The Kabardino-Balkaria national team won second place in the team competition, reports the press service of the republican government.
The winners in their weight categories were: Makoev Akhmat, Appaev Amir, Mansurov Imran, Tlekhuraev Tamerlan and Otarov Alikhan.
In addition, the athletes won 5 silver and 12 bronze awards. The finalists of the competition qualified for the Russian Championship, which will be held in April in Sochi (16-17 years old) and Cheboksary (12-13 and 14-15 years old).
It was previously reported that classics of Kabardino-Balkaria became winners of the Russian Championship.
