At the closing ceremony of the tournament, the awards were presented to the prize-winners and winners of the competition by the Minister of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region, Alexey Aksenov, and the President of the Basketball Federation of the Arkhangelsk Region, Alexey Komarov.
– The IES-BASKET school basketball championship is not only the most popular physical education and sports event in basketball, but it is the most popular event among all team sports, one of the best children’s tournaments in Russia. This tournament raised the level of Russian basketball and developed athletes of the highest caliber,” said Alexey Yuryevich. – We hope that the winners of the tournament will adequately represent the region at the zonal stage and win the coveted ticket to the Superfinal! It should be noted that the seventeenth season of the IES-BASKET School Basketball League Championship was marked by a record number of Russian regions taking part in the project. More than 17,900 teams from 80 regions take part in the competition. In the Arkhangelsk region in the 2023-2024 season, 151 teams from 19 municipalities of the region competed.
