The newest air-to-ground guided missile Izdeliye 305 has been adopted by the Russian army. This is reported by the newspaper “Red Star”. The range of the missile is up to 14.5 thousand meters.
“In 2012, KBM (Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering in Kolomna) completed state tests of the Iskander-M OTRK (operational-tactical missile systems) with new types of missiles and a new control system. In 2014, the modernized Shturm-SM self-propelled ATGM (anti-tank missile system) was put into service, in 2015 – the Verba MANPADS (portable air defense system), followed by the Dagger, in 2021 – the Izdeliye 305 light multi-purpose missile “and others,” the article says on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Deputy General Director of JSC NPO High Precision Complexes, General Designer of JSC NPK Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering (KBM), Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Valery Kashin.
The Izdeliye 305 rocket can reach speeds of up to 230 m/s. The ammunition is equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 25 kg and an optical thermal imaging homing head. The Izdeliye 305 missile is equipped with Ka-52M and Mi-28NM helicopters. In 2019, it was tested on a Mi-28NM helicopter in Syria.
