The IOC will not establish new requirements for the admission of Russians to the 2024 Olympics
The International Olympic Committee is not going to establish new rules for the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Earlier, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin said that the department would decide the issue of Russian participation in the Summer Games after the final recommendations of the IOC.
In December 2023, the IOC decided that athletes from Russia and Belarus will be able to participate in the Olympic Games in a neutral status, subject to a number of strict requirements. Those athletes who openly support the conduct of a special operation in Ukraine will not receive access to competitions. In addition, Russia and Belarus were deprived of the right to participate in team sports.
