In Moscow, the Babushkinsky Court registered the investigation’s request for the arrest in absentia of Pussy Riot project participant Nadezhda Tolokonnikova (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). We are talking about a criminal case of insulting the feelings of believers, the court reported.
According to the information, Tolokonnikova was charged in absentia with violating the right to freedom of conscience and religion.
The initiation of a case against a member of the notorious group Pussy Riot and the search became known in the spring. The case was reportedly based on Tolokonnikova’s publications on social networks.
In 2012, she was sentenced to two years in prison for hooliganism due to the so-called punk prayer service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Tolokonnikova is currently abroad.
