The national ice hockey teams of Russia and Belarus will miss international tournaments under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in 2023. The solutions will be updated from season to season, said Luc Tardif, president of the organization.
“Russia and Belarus are still not allowed to compete next season,” said Mr. Tardif, quoted by Flohockey journalist Chris Peters on Twitter.
The IIHF suspended the participation of Russian and Belarusian national teams and clubs at the end of February amid the military operation in Ukraine. Solution valid until further notice.
