The international combat sambo tournament “Spirit of the Nomad” (0+) will take place on October 15 in Chita – among the participants will be world champions in this sport. This was reported on the website of the government of Transbaikalia with reference to the founder of the network of fight clubs “Ostrovsky 13” and the president of the Sambo Federation for the region, Damdin Badmatsyrenov.
The competition will be held among six weight categories. The lightest fighters will weigh up to 58 kilograms, and the heaviest – up to 98. Athletes will come from the Republics of Tyva, Yakutia and the Altai Territory. Among foreigners, fighters from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Mongolia will participate in the tournament.
“The fights will start at 9:00, but the final fights will be at 19:00. Spectator seating will be at 6:10 p.m. Traditionally, the highlight of all our events is the DJ playing. This year we will surprise you with a special selection of tracks just like the spirit of a nomad. Our DJ will provide original compositions so that the viewer will plunge into the atmosphere. A show program with an ethnic slant is also expected,” said the President of the Sambo Federation for Transbaikalia.
