According to the operational headquarters, the incidence of COVID-19 over the past week in Russia decreased by 30.32% per 100,000 people compared to the previous week. However, in 34 regions of the country, there was still an increase in the incidence. A similar situation was observed with hospitalization rates.

“The incidence rate of a new coronavirus infection over the past week per 100,000 people was 163.6 and decreased by 30.32% compared to the previous week,” the operational headquarters said in its summary.

In a series of 51 regions where a decrease in incidence was noted, Moscow ranked first, showing a decrease by 68.7%, the Kirov Region – by 67.3%, the Krasnoyarsk Territory – by 65.8% and the Smolensk Region – by 31.9% .

As for the 34 subjects that fell out of this positive trend, as noted by the headquarters, in 25 of them the incidence increased more than the national average.

It was also noted that the estimated hospitalization rate for the past week was 12.2 and decreased by 24.0% compared to the previous week. An increase in the number of hospitalizations was observed in nine constituent entities of the Russian Federation, while in six of them this increase exceeded the national average.
