Pre-winter has arrived in the European part of Russia, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia. TASS. This period usually lasts until mid-December.
Pre-winter is one of six natural synoptic seasons (winter, spring, autumn, pre-winter, first and second half of summer).
“This means that the weather is expected to be unstable – frequent periods of cooling, warming, a lot of cloudiness and precipitation due to pressure depressions,” said Mr. Vilfand. According to his forecast, the weather will become more stable and less cloudy after the end of the pre-winter period.
In the south of the European part of Russia, a decrease in air temperature is expected from Tuesday, October 24. In the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea and other regions, temperatures in some places can reach +30°C until Monday. After this, the temperature will drop to +17–19°C.
