The hydrometeorological center predicts abnormal heat in 26 regions – Kommersant

Abnormal heat is expected in the regions of the Volga Federal District, Kurgan, Sverdlovsk regions, Yakutia and other regions, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia TASS.
In the Volga Federal District in all 14 regions, temperatures will be 6–8°C above normal. Daytime temperatures will be 14-18°C for the next two days. In the Urals, according to Mr. Vilfand, “it will be super warm.” In the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug from Monday to Wednesday the temperature will be at 11–13°C, in the Kurgan and Chelyabinsk regions, in the south of the Tyumen and Sverdlovsk regions – 13–17°C. This is 7–8°C above normal.
Temperatures in the Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions will be the same amount above normal on October 17 and 18. The forecast is 13–16°C. In Taimyr it will be 1–2°C. Abnormal heat is expected in Yakutia (5–7°C). In Buryatia and the south of Transbaikalia, 11–16°C is expected.
