Scientific Director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand said TASSthat very warm weather is returning to the center of European Russia. According to him, until April 11 inclusive in Moscow and neighboring regions, the temperature will be 7-8°C above the climate norm. This corresponds to the weather in the second half of May.

Mr. Vilfand noted that warm weather in the center of the European part of Russia will be caused by the transfer of warm air masses from the Atlantic. He also said that in the above-mentioned areas it will be cloudy, the pressure will be near normal, light rain is possible in places, but significant precipitation is not expected.

From today, April 8, in Moscow the minimum values are expected to be around 10°C. Today the temperature in the capital will reach 17-19°C, in the Moscow region – up to 21°C. On April 9, the air in Moscow will also warm up to 21°C, and the next day – to 23°C, the meteorologist said.

The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center said that on April 11, air masses in the European part of the Russian Federation will arrive not from the south of the Atlantic, but from temperate waters, but the temperature will still be 6°C above normal and is expected to reach 15-20°C. On April 12, air masses will begin to move from the west, the weather will become cloudier, and light rain is expected, he said. A decrease in temperature is also expected on April 13-14, but it will still be 3-4°C above normal, Mr. Vilfand said.
