“During the working days of the week the weather is very warm, it will be extremely warm in the Urals, Western and Central Siberia. <...> This is crazy warmth, surreal for the end of December in these regions,” said Mr. Vilfand TASS.
What air temperature is predicted in the regions:
- in Kurgan, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk regions – up to +3°C;
- in Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk regions – about 0°C;
- in the Altai Territory – up to +6°C;
- in Taimyr (Krasnoyarsk Territory) – -10°C, in the Turukhansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – about -5°C.
It will also be “very warm” in the Kemerovo region and Khakassia. Warming is associated with the movement of warm air masses from the Atlantic. By midweek, warm weather will spread to most of Russia. According to the meteorologist, there will be no significant negative anomalies anywhere, but “there will, of course, be a hot spot in the Urals and Siberia.”
