A resident of the city of Niagara Falls in Canada (Province of Ontario), 32-year-old Amber Shram spent more than 4,000 Canadian dollars (about 250 thousand rubles) on furniture for her two cats, writestalker.

Charme has installed climbing walls, a rope bridge, swings, plants and more for the pets both inside and around the house. Outside, she set up an enclosure where her six-year-old Bengal cat Jake and two-year-old Bengal cat Juno can go for walks, while remaining safe.

According to the Canadian, at first she bought several items for the pets, but after several years of living with the owner, the cats formed their own space filled with various things. If the cats didn’t like one of the items, Charming immediately sold it and looked for something that Jake and Juno would “like”. “Every few months I buy something new for the cats, so over the past few years their rooms have really become something special,” she said.

Charming also said that her cat used to love to run away from home to roam the streets, but now he enjoys spending time outdoors in his spacious cage.

The woman has repeatedly faced condemnation of her approach to keeping pets by users of social networks, where she talks about her life. At the same time, she is not accused of extravagance, as one might think, but of keeping animals locked up. But she claims that she does it solely for the safety of the cats.

“It’s very dangerous to let house cats roam the streets unsupervised,” she said. “In addition, cats can prey on birds and reduce their population.”
