The Holy Fire will be delivered to 11 churches in Moscow

The Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called, according to tradition, will deliver the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to the Easter night service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. Also, the fire will be delivered to 11 Moscow churches, according to press service fund.
According to him, tomorrow, April 16, the fire can be lit, starting from 1:00–1:30in temples:
- Epiphany Cathedral in Yelokhovo (Spartakovskaya, 15),
- Church of the Great Martyr Barbara (2 Varvarka Street),
- Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Yasenevo (Litovsky Boulevard, 7a),
- Temple of the Life-Giving Trinity in Orekhovo-Borisov (Kashirskoye highway, 61a),
- Church of All Saints on Sokol (Leningradsky Prospekt, 73A),
- Church of the All-Merciful Savior, Patriarchal Compound in Mitin (Pyatnitskoye Highway, 5),
- Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Strogino (Stroginsky Boulevard, 20),
- Church of St. George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Hill (Victory Square, 3b),
- Temple of St. Job (Mozhayskoye highway, 56, building 1),
- Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy” in Maryina Roshcha (Sheremetyevskaya Street, 33),
- Church of St. Tikhon in Moscow (Moscow city, microdistrict 1, 50).
Fire symbolizes the resurrection of Christ. The Holy Fire descends on Easter in Kuvuklia – the chapel located at the place of his burial.
The descent of the Holy Fire takes place in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called since 2003 annually delivers the Holy Fire to Moscow for Easter.
