In Yakutia, due to the heat, a popular attraction has melted – the “non-melting” ice beach Buluus. The footage taken on the melted beach is published by the News of Yakutia portal in “In contact with“.
The published footage shows that nothing is left of the ice crust that once covered the beach. In its place, green grass and ancient boulders are now visible.
As an employee of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the geobotany group Mikhail Cherosov, noted, this phenomenon is associated with climate change and human impact on nature.
“It must be admitted that already a few years ago it became clear that Buluus would soon thaw,” the expert said.
At the same time, he noted that the ice on Buluus will seize again and tourists will be able to see the attraction again. In addition, the ice has already left the beach in 2021.
