The head of Ukrainian intelligence (GUR) Kirill Budanov spoke about the condition of his wife after the poisoning. The Financial Times writes about this.

According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Marianna Budanova is still undergoing treatment and is in the clinic, but she is feeling better.

Who exactly was the target of the poisoning – he or his wife – Budanov refused to specify.

Ukrainian media report that, according to information from the speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Andrei Yusov, Budanov’s wife is in satisfactory condition.

Yusov also added that an internal investigation into the incident is underway, which is being handled by the internal security unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region.

Let us remind you that the poisoning of Marianna Budanova with heavy metals became known on November 28, 2023. She was hospitalized when her health began to deteriorate sharply. It is believed that the poison could have entered the body with food.

Subsequently, it became known that, together with Budanov’s wife, several other employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate were poisoned. Their symptoms appeared later.
