The head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma commented on the rules of conduct for deputies

The recommendations for working in social networks, which were received by the deputies of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, imply responsibility in case of their violation. The head of the faction, Vladimir Vasilyev, told journalists about this. He explained that “the word is too expensive.”

“What does it mean? So it will be a responsibility. Everyone who goes beyond will be responsible, because the word is too expensive. Remember? Evil tongues are worse than a gun. So these expressions, they are sometimes expensive, ”said Mr. Vasilyev (quoted from TASS). He explained that the reason for such demands, which are about 10, were, among other things, some actions of some deputies. According to him, the parliamentarians admitted that on vacation “in a state of drunkenness they began to comment.”

The fact that United Russia has developed a code of public positioning of a State Duma deputy was previously reported by RBC. The code consists of 11 points, among which are not to write posts on social networks in an inadequate state and not to post luxury items, exotic travels and restaurants.

Then a high-ranking source in the United Russia faction told TASS that the United Russia deputies received recommendations on public behavior, in particular on social media work, especially on the upcoming holidays. He explained that the recommendations were intended to prevent “misunderstandings”.
