The head of the Russian Guard, General of the Army Viktor Zolotov, congratulated the oldest journalist, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation and Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mikhail Gorbov on his 100th birthday. Retired Colonel Mikhail Vasilyevich Gorbov is a veteran of the National Guard magazine “At a combat post”. On his birthday, December 22, the National Guard orchestra played near the veteran’s house. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, Gorbov served in Lvov as a platoon commander of the 210th separate battalion of the 17th rifle brigade of the NKVD troops. They fought against the nationalist underground in the western regions of Ukraine. Once Bandera killed two of Gorbov’s colleagues. He vowed to take revenge on the Bandera comrades. Soon he had such an opportunity: his platoon defeated a gang of Nazis and their leader named Bear.
