35 servicemen of the people’s militia who were held captive in Ukraine returned to the Lugansk People’s Republic, said the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik. He did not elaborate on the details of their return, nor whether it was a new exchange or if the soldiers returned as part of one of the past prisoner exchanges.
Those who returned from captivity undergo a medical examination. Mr. Pasechnik said that work on the return of the military continues.
Ombudsman of the LPR Victoria Serdyukova last week informedthat about 1.2 thousand soldiers of the armed forces of Ukraine remain in the republic. Last known prisoner exchange took place in early November, when 107 Russian soldiers returned to Russia.
