Magomed Adiev became the head coach of the Akhmat football club, it follows from press release on the club website. Adiev will combine his new position with the post of head coach of the Kazakhstan national team. Previously, Akhmat was headed by Miroslav Romashchenko.

According to information on the Akhmat website, Magomed Adiev played for the Grozny club in different years and won the Russian Cup with it. In addition, he worked as an assistant head coach at the club, coaching the second team.

On April 4, Akhmat announced the resignation of Miroslav Romashchenko. According to the press service of the match, Romashchenko made this decision himself. Information about the coach’s departure from the team was published after Akhmat’s game with Orenburg – on April 4, the Grozny club lost to Orenburg with a score of 0:1 and did not qualify for the semi-finals of the Fonbet Russian Cup play-offs. Romashchenko has headed Akhmat since August 2023.
