The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that profits from frozen Russian assets should be used to purchase military equipment for Ukraine. With these words she spoke before the European Parliament.
According to her, we need to be prepared for the risk of a “larger war.” To do this, according to the head of the EC, it is necessary to increase the production of shells.
Earlier, Ursula von der Leyen promised Ukraine that Europe would help for as long as needed. We are talking about new supplies of ammunition and weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, the regional commonwealth plans to fund Ukraine’s defense industry and create more training for its soldiers.
