A resident of Yakutia, taking advantage of the fact that he served as the head of a bank branch, deceived customers, taking money from them and not returning them, the website reports. KP.ru.
According to investigators, the bank employee drew up contracts on letterhead of his organization, but deceived customers, promising to return large sums with interest. To some clients, he paid a part of the amount from the funds received from subsequent ones, but after a while he began to take the money for himself.
The first person from whom a bank clerk took a lot of money was his father’s colleague, who has the status of “Children of War”. He gave the bank employee 1 million 750 thousand rubles. In total, the banker stole 108 million rubles from 51 clients, including 10.5 million rubles from a woman who was saving up for an apartment in Novosibirsk.
