All stages of testing of the Generalissimo Suvorov nuclear submarine cruiser (APC) have been completed, a new nuclear submarine is being prepared for transfer to the Russian Navy. This was announced by the head of the company “Sevmash” Mikhail Budnichenko.
““ Generalissimo Suvorov ” completed all stages of testing, having completed several exits to the sea. The ship’s systems have been tested in various modes. Further, on the nuclear submarine, the agro-industrial complex will be prepared for transfer to the Navy: revision of mechanisms, final finishing, loading of equipment, ”Mr. Budnichenko said after testing the agro-industrial complex in the White Sea.

Shooting was carried out from a submerged position. A missile fired in the White Sea reached its target at the Kura test site in Kamchatka. The flight took place in the normal mode, according to the Ministry of Defense.
The agency claims that the Generalissimo Suvorov APK, built at the Sevmash plant in Severodvinsk, belongs to the fourth generation of nuclear submarine missile carriers. The submarine is equipped with complexes of missile and torpedo weapons, navigation, radio and sonar weapons.
It is noted that the submarine cruiser became the second serial ship of the Borey-A project. In 2020, the first ship of the updated Borey-A project, Prince Vladimir, was accepted into the Navy. On plans for the mass construction of new nuclear submarines in Russia under the Borey-A project informed Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Nikolai Evmenov.
