The head of Roscosmos Borisov: the rocket and space industry of the Russian Federation is “aging”

The Russian rocket and space industry is in a “not very good” state. This assessment was given on Wednesday, April 26, by Yury Borisov, General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation.
As the head of Roskosmos explained, we are talking about the financial and personnel state of the industry – it is “aging”, talented young people are needed to update it.
Borisov noted that the plans of the state corporation include the implementation of several innovative projects, including the creation of a multi-satellite constellation. Roskosmos expects to attract young people to work on these projects.
The head of Roskosmos also spoke about the progress of work on the Russian super-heavy rocket. He stressed that the possibility of multiple use of the launch vehicle is a mandatory requirement, since this will reduce the cost of launch services.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted earlier that the Russian space industry steadily increasing its potential. This, in particular, is evidenced by a hundred accident-free launches in a row – for the first time in the modern history of the country. The head of state called for a more dense integration of the space industry into the Russian economy and making space exploration a more significant factor in national development.
