The head of Orenburg, Sergei Salmin, said that more than 300 households and 750 plots have already been flooded in the city. He called on residents living in areas of possible flooding to go to their relatives, friends or to temporary accommodation centers, since “the situation is critical.”

“In just one day, the water level in the Urals increased by 91 cm! And now it is 778 cm! This is already above the unfavorable value and the water continues to rise. Electricity and gas supplies to your areas will be turned off!” Mr. Salmin wrote in Telegram channel.

According to the head of Orenburg, several districts and villages are at risk, including Kuznechny, Sitsovka, Pristantsionny, Zarechny, Podmayachny, Solnechny, Ovchinny town, the village named after Kuibyshev, as well as SNT, located in the area of ​​Protopopovskaya grove, Zauralnaya grove, Ovchinny town, SNT Dubki and Oak Reach.

Today, April 5, in the city of Orsk, Orenburg region burst dam. 10 thousand people are at risk of flooding. In Orsk, an evacuation has been organized and the rescue team has been strengthened. The city is in a state of municipal emergency.

Due to warming in the Orenburg region, the water level has risen sharply. In the territory of 95 settlements, 1,825 residential buildings and 5,242 household plots were flooded. A regional emergency regime has been introduced in the region.
