Guards were posted at the grave of Yevgeny Prigozhin at the Porokhovskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg. They started guarding the burial site after a violin was stolen from there. The details of this story were told by cemetery employee Igor Nazarov.

There was no “pandemonium” at the grave of the head of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, who died in a plane crash.

– There is not a large flow, but people are slowly coming. Every half hour a couple of people pass by,” says Igor Nazarov, burial master at the Porokhovskoye cemetery. – You know, we had an emergency here. On the second or third day after the funeral, someone brought a sledgehammer and a real violin to the grave. It probably costs a decent amount, but it’s not a popular tool. So, the violin was stolen the next day. She lasted only a day.

– Did you find the thief?

– Who will look for who needs it? Stolen during working hours. It seems that someone noticed a cyclist quickly leaving there. After this, a video camera and a booth were installed near Prigozhin’s grave, where a guard was placed; the guard actually lives there. As I understand it, the Wagnerites did this, and they coordinated the actions with their superiors. Now there is a security guard on duty there 24 hours a day. We give him water, we installed electricity.

– Was the sledgehammer stolen?

– The sledgehammer is in place. She stood near the grave for a long time, then I saw her at the guard’s booth.

– Do Prigozhin’s relatives come to the grave and ask you to clean up?

– For 9 days, someone came in the morning. At the same time, Prigozhin’s mother called about cleaning. That day it rained heavily, she asked to wipe everything there and put it in order. There were no further calls from Prigozhin’s relatives.
