A young television producer and descendant of a famous Soviet magician ordered a water purification system from a private businessman for 72,000 rubles. Having made a full prepayment, Renard-Kio began to wait for the master to come to his house and install the filter. But that one, just like in a circus act, disappeared without a trace along with the money. The customer stubbornly sought a refund. However, in response, he received only another focus: the businessman returned only 10 thousand rubles. The grandson of Kio had to call on the help of Themis.
In the Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow, the producer managed to prove that the treasured filter actually turned out to be just an illusion that cleared not the water, but his pocket. Moreover, the plaintiff did not begin to cash in on the escaped unfortunate master. In court, Renard-Kio demanded to recover from the cheater only the remaining 62 thousand rubles in advance, a modest penalty of 3,744 rubles, a little more than two thousand rubles of state duty and 20 thousand, which the plaintiff spent on the help of a lawyer. The court satisfied almost all the requirements, only reducing the costs of a lawyer to 15,000 rubles and cutting the amount of the penalty by 500 rubles.
