Governor of the Magadan Region Sergei Nosov met with President Vladimir Putin at meeting for the development of Far Eastern cities. The governor said that, despite high salaries and the proximity of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, residents of Magadan are still leaving the regional center and are faced with the delayed life syndrome.

At a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Sergei Nosov named the advantages of living in the Magadan Region: good ecology, proximity to the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, high salaries, and rapid career growth. At the same time, he noted that, despite all the advantages, residents still plan to leave. According to him, a distinctive feature of Magadan residents is the postponed life syndrome. Vladimir Putin, in turn, instructed to resettle houses in Magadan and Yakutsk by 2030, which were recognized as emergency until September of this year. He also announced the need to provide assistance to local food producers and instructed the government to support the construction and modernization of greenhouses and vegetable stores in the Magadan region and Chukotka in order to solve food problems.
